Coaches
This will be Coach Alison’s third year on the BG coaching staff. She started swimming competitively for summer league when she was five and swam year round for both Richmond Racers and SwimQuest (now just Quest) from 6th-12th grade. At the age of 15, she started coaching as an assistant at Shenandoah and coached there for about ten years until she became head coach for Stonehenge in 2016. In the past she has also taught private and group lessons for swimmers ages 3-adult. She temporarily stopped coaching when she had kids, but is very excited to have an opportunity to get back into it! Her greatest strengths as a coach are teaching strong technique and building relationships with swimmers.
This will be Maddie Cross’ third year as an assistant coach. She previously volunteered as a JACIT (Junior Assistant Coach in Training) and thoroughly enjoyed the coaching experience. She looks forward to summer swim every year. She is also CPR and lifeguard certified. Maddie loves working with children of all ages, but especially the littles!
This will be Leah’s third year as an assistant coach. She also previously volunteered as a JACIT (junior assistant coach in training) and really had fun with it. She looks forward to summer swim every year being her 13th year swimming for Brighton Green. She has also swam for Quest and James River. She is CPR and lifeguard certified. Leah loves coaching and being able to work with people to help them reach and exceed their goals.
This will be Isabella’s third year as an assistant coach. She also previously volunteered as a JACIT (junior assistant coach in training) and really enjoyed helping her team. She looks forward to summer swim every year and this will be her 12th year with the Gators. She has also swam on the James River Swim and Dive Team during her three years. She is CPR and lifeguard certified. Izzy loves working with swimmers to help them learn about a sport that she loves herself and she loves being able to support her community as a member of the swim team.
